Collaborating with the West Village Revitalization Project to launch WestFest, a vibrant celebration of creativity, community, and local dignity through music and culture.

Welcome to WestFest 

WestFest needed to make its mark and capture the spirit of togetherness for a lively, inclusive music festival.

A Festival from the Ground Up

Our purpose was to create a visual and experiential identity that felt energetic, welcoming, and reflective of the local culture, while being unlike anything done before and built entirely from the ground up.

Designing the Debut

We developed a cohesive brand and visual system that brought WestFest to life with liveliness and authenticity. Every asset was thoughtfully designed to create excitement and foster a sense of community, ensuring the festival made a sound and lasting impression from day one.

Creative Concept: A colourful, vibrant aesthetic that captures the festival-fun and WestFest’s values to introduce the event and firmly establish it as a must-attend community music festival.

Visual Identity: A thoughtful logo inspired by the river that borders Sault Ste. Marie, symbolising connection and flow. Paired with distinctive typography and a vivid rainbow-like colour palette, the design expresses vibrancy and inclusivity while ensuring flexibility across print, merchandise, digital, and other applications.

Asset Creation: From posters and social media graphics to stage banners, signage, and merch, every design element was carefully crafted to establish a consistent brand identity for the inaugural festival.

Digital Presence: We built the WestFest website, focusing on user experience and storytelling to showcase the festival’s backstory and lineup. We managed the social media channels with engaging and informative posts that conveyed the excitement and community focus to help stimulate awareness and enthusiasm before, during, and after the event.
